SICKNESS AND HEALTH POLICY


WHEN TO USE THIS DOCUMENT

 This policy sets out the way in which an organisation deals with and manages time off for sickness and other health reasons.

 All of our policies combine professional legal and personnel / HR knowledge with practical experience in business to provide an easy to use policy which meets with legal responsibilities and obligations.

 A written policy like this one helps employees to understand the procedures to be followed. It also explains the rights and responsibilities of both the employer and the employee. If properly followed, a policy will also help ensure that the employer complies with all their legal duties and obligations whilst protecting employees.

 Absence from work costs individual employers huge amounts of money and worry during any financial year. The policy also deals with the required sickness records to ensure that statutory sick pay is properly dealt with.
